Through its participation in and organization of workshops, lectures and conferences, the ACA has several objectives:

• Promoting knowledge about best archival practices
• Serving as a platform for debate about architecture preservation issues
• Sharing and diffusing knowledge about modern architecture, its history, its practice and its practitioners
• Building links between theory and practice
