Notes
Wael Samhouri studied Architecture at Damascus University, and did his Masters in Urban Design at the Pratt Institute in New York. He also holds a Ph.D. from the Royal College of Art in London. 
Based in Damascus, he founded and headed architectural departments at three universities in Syria: Damascus University, Al-Kalamoon University, and The International University for Science and Technology. He joined the board of trustees of the Aga Khan Development Network in Syria and is the founder of the Apollodorus of Damascus Society of architects.
