Notes
The Carlton Hotel represents very well the architecture produced in Beirut in the 1950s.
It was designed by the team of Karol Schayer, Bahij Makdisi and Wassek Adib.
All bedrooms were accessible with wide corridors and had sea view, conveniently facing south.
The Hotel was sold in 2005 and was demolished in 2009 to make way for apartment towers.
