Discover, Visit, Debate
In 2015, the Arab Center for Architecture is organizing a program to raise awareness on urban and architectural modern heritage in Lebanon.
This project targets students, instructors and decision makers as much as tour operators, urban planners and architects.
It aims at disseminating knowledge for a better understanding of our built environment.
This year, ACA would like to engage in activities with the general public and to initiate a platform for discussion and thinking about the modern built heritage.
An educational kit for junior high-school students will be developed through a workshop before being distributed to instructors.
One guided tour is offered each month by urban and heritage professionals.
The twelve visits will explore new perspectives to several neighbourhoods and sites in Beirut and elsewhere.
Guides: Liliane Barakat, Mira Minkara, Arpi Mangassarian, Naji Assi, Elie Harfouche, George Arbid, Léon Telvizian, Maha Nasrallah, Mazen Haidar, Mona Hallak.
